EDUCATION SYSTEM :

4 to 5 year-olds attend kindergarten. 6 to 11 year-olds attend primary schools. The preparatory stage caters for children aged between 12 and 14 and 15 to 17 year-olds attending secondary schools. Most of the colleges and universities are affiliating themselves to prestigious institutions abroad, and many of them use English as tuition language. A large number of Dubai’s universities also offer various master and PhD postgraduate programs.

Starting from 21 October 2018, students who graduate from their universities or secondary schools or complete 18 years of age will be granted a one-year residence visa, renewable for another year from the graduation date or on completing 18 years. For this type of visa, parents are not required to place bank deposits.

Duration for the undergraduate program will be 3 to 4 years.

ENTRY CRITERIA :

Eligibility for Undergraduate Study :minimum of 12 years of schooling with 50% to 60% from CBSE or ISC board. The student must also fulfill English language requirements by either obtaining a cut-off score in IELTS and TOEFL or securing 70% marks in English.

 

Eligibility for Postgraduate Study :must have a bachelor’s degree along with TOEL or IELTS. For MBA program in Dubai, one should have relevant work experience of 2-4 years.

EMPLOYMENT :

International Students can work part time for 20 hours a week in free zone areas they are required to get the permission from universities. Some universities works with local companies to arrange internship placements, for both postgraduate and undergraduate students. For full-time work after postgraduate study, one need an labour card .i.e. “Residence permit for employment issued for an employee”, which is arranged by the employer. This entitles people to remain for up to three years.
